ALABAMA YOUTH EDUCATION IN SHOOTING SPORTS (ALYESS)

ALYESS is the premier youth shooting organization in Alabama. We are part of a nationwide community and recognized by USAYESS and Porterfield’s Midway USA Foundation.

Our mission is to emphasize safe shooting practices, to protect and preserve our shooting and hunting heritage, and to promote lifelong enjoyment for the shooting sports. We are focused on a positive and supportive shooting program for the young men and women in our great state.

Our vision is to grow an appreciation for Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, Five Stand, Olympic Skeet, Olympic Trap, Hand Gun, and Rifle in each of our members, with the goal of developing self-confidence, self-esteem, respect, a solid work ethic, honesty, integrity, honor, personal discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and sportsmanship through regular practice and competition at local, state, and national events.

Our hope is to foster an interest in this generation of new shooters through the power of our vision. We strive to provide opportunities for our youth to get hands-on experience and to familiarize them with the equipment, safety, and responsibility associated with the shooting sports.
